★★★★★Love these worksheets. They are great for when students are done early with work or you can create a whole lesson on these and use them as a review.

This Shape Art Book is a set of shape, color, line and pattern lessons that come together into an imaginative art book for Pre-K and Kindergarten students. It is a gentle introduction to art that teaches young students to draw, mix their own colors and create color tints.
Students also use their imagination to create shape creatures, shape worlds and pattern and shape mandalas. Lesson plans for each page of the booklet are included, which makes it a good choice for sub plans.
WHAT'S INCLUDED
- Student Art Book (10 pages and 1 coloring title page)
- Teacher Lesson Plan Booklet with examples
- Lessons: Introduction to Shape and Color, Learning Lines, Creating Patterns, Coloring the Shape Creatures, Hatch and Create a Shape Creature, Making Colors (a color wheel type lesson), Color Tints, Shape, Pattern, Color and Line Mandala, Create a Shape World and Shape and Color Mosaic
HOW TO USE IT
Print and photocopy the student pages single or double sided and staple them into a work book. Students write their name on the title page and color the image as a hook, and you can ask them to wonder what they might learn from it. If you prefer not to use a book format, photocopy each handout with its lesson plan and have students write their names on the back.
The lessons work with a variety of mark making mediums, and the lesson plans suggest different mediums and combinations to try.
