Selected reviews from TPT
★★★★★I showed my 3rd graders this lesson and they enjoyed trying to draw it the same.

This Halloween Cartoon Grid Drawing resource gives grades 1 to 4 students a simple, structured way to build drawing confidence. Students copy a cartoon image one square at a time from the example grid into the blank grid beside it, which helps them focus, slow down and feel successful as they draw.
The cartoon style Halloween images are drawn by Kathleen McGiveron (Ms Artastic): pumpkin, ghost costume, candy, witches' broom, spider, witch, Frankenstein, ghost, skull, cauldron, candle, cat, bat, mummy, owl, witch's hat, haunted house, pumpkin costume, jack o' lantern and vampire. The pages support observation, fine motor skills, hand eye coordination and attention to detail.

HOW TO USE IT
Use the pages for Halloween art lessons, drawing centers, early finishers, morning work, sub plans, homeschool art or fine motor practice. They work as a quiet independent activity, a guided art lesson, or a booklet students work through over time.
Working square by square cuts down the overwhelm of drawing a whole picture at once. Students notice lines, shapes and spacing more clearly, which helps the ones who say they "can't draw" get started.
