Questions teachers and parents ask

When are Remembrance Day and Veterans Day?

Both are on November 11. Remembrance Day is observed in Canada and other Commonwealth countries, and Veterans Day is observed in the United States.

Why is the poppy used for Remembrance Day?

The red poppy became a symbol of remembrance after the First World War, inspired by the poem In Flanders Fields by Canadian doctor John McCrae.

Do these projects work for homeschool?

Yes. The lessons are written for a classroom but the steps work at home too. Read each lesson description before you prep.
