32 task card STEM challenges to kick start design in your classroom! A Makerspace is a collaborative space where students can design and build projects, either for a classroom assignment or as a center. Makerspaces are great for allowing for creative and critical thinking, and personal responsibility in a school. They allow for students to explore 21st century skills in STEM fields (science, technology, engineering, and math). Makerspaces are critical for students to problem solve, and allow for them to practice skills which can be later used in their own careers.

- Use as assignments for Design or Makerspace and use for lessons
- Use as a “When-You’re-Done” center
- Cards state the challenge and provide reflective thinking, creative thinking, or critical thinking questions.
- Use as a center in the Makerspace or as assignments for the class. Project or pass out to individuals/groups through the year. Have students verbally answer questions or write answers on their paper or in a journal. The choice of how you use them is yours!
