This Grid Drawing Practice Pack has 10 grid drawing templates built from original nature close-up photographs. It gives middle school and high school students structured drawing practice that builds observational skills, proportion and shading.

Students can use any drawing medium, such as pencil, charcoal, markers or pastels. No special materials are needed: if students can make a mark, they can complete these drawings. The pack works for beginner and advanced students alike.

WHAT'S INCLUDED (NON-EDITABLE, AMERICAN ENGLISH)

HOW TO USE IT

Grid drawing is a classic technique artists use to copy or enlarge an image accurately by breaking it into sections. By focusing on one square at a time, students improve their precision, attention to detail and confidence.

Use the pages for homeschool drawing lessons, bell ringers and warm-ups, self-paced practice or a fast finisher grid drawing folder. Print and store a set in your sub tub for a no-prep lesson during emergency absences, photocopy templates for art centers, laminate the instruction pages for long-term use, or project them under a document camera for class demonstrations.
