HOW TO USE IT
Photocopy the pages as a double-sided booklet or print individual drawing pages. Students can draw in the workbook, on blank paper or in their sketchbooks. Preview the lesson plan and materials, then demonstrate the steps under a document camera or on chart paper and guide students through each one. Students outline with a black felt or fine liner and color with the mediums you choose (crayons, colored pencils, markers, watercolor, oil pastel, tempera and so on) or their own choice.
Use it for elementary and upper elementary art classes, homeschool art, Earth Day bulletin board displays, sub plans, sketchbook activities and environmental awareness units. Students practice fine motor skills, sequential thinking, observation, composition and line work. Prep once and reuse it year after year.
