I used this with 3-5 grades when I needed something for one day to not start a new project too early and this helped to clarify certain concepts and they enjoyed doing it. Very easy to understand without me having to tell them what to do.

I love this package. It would be helpful to have the rubric and assessment in a .doc file format so that I can take the teacher name off. I would feel silly giving the assessment to my students with another teachers name on it.

This is an excellent resource. Takes the headache out of reinventing the wheel. It gives a closer look at how the elements are taught, and can be used on the whiteboard if you don't want to photocopy the sheets. Thank you.

This Color Wheel Workbook and Art Lesson set introduces color theory and the Elements of Art: Color, from primary and secondary colors to complementary, analogous, monochromatic, warm, cool and neutral colors, value, tints, tones and shades. It is made for elementary and middle school art, homeschool families and substitute teachers.

My art teacher called in sick. I had been using art theory terminology with my kids and they had no idea what i was talking about. I wasn't there the first few weeks, I was a later edition to the school so I had assumed they covered this, but that's besides the point. The point is, my kids soooooooo enjoyed this. I had fun too testing it out. The videos were great! I am beyond pleased. I remember being bored out of my mind during color theory because I wanted to just do whatever I wanted an being talked at in art was just a nightmare since art is mostly participation based usually. This was a fantastic balance they learned and followed along. One thing I will say, I got a little carried away and decided they would use oil pastels and I stapled all the pages together like a book. This was a practical choice, but not a good idea when using oil pastels that were chalk based. That was wayyyyy tooooo messy for me. Do marker, I beg you. Anyway great resource!

I purchased this packet for my 5th and 6th grade art students. I ended up using almost all of the pages included in this download!! The students were very engaged and it definitely held their attention, but it was also easy to understand and not too overwhelming as far as workload! Perfect balance. Would recommend for use in a classroom or homeschool setting. I also ended up using it as an after-school activity with my own kids (2nd & 4th grade), and they thoroughly enjoyed it as well!
