I have used this resource for a few consecutive years. I have displayed them on bulletin boards and I have used it as an early finisher art activity. Students always enjoy making the candycanes and they always look so colourful.

This Candy Cane Zen Doodle Art Project is a holiday art lesson that explores the element of art: line. Students follow a directed drawing, experiment with painting using felt markers, and fill their candy cane with detailed Zen Doodle patterns.

It is made for art teachers, classroom teachers and homeschoolers who want an easy-to-follow Christmas project with room for student creativity. It keeps students focused and busy in the days before the holiday break, and every candy cane turns out a little different.
