Art and Writing Activities for Kids
Art and writing go together so well. When kids draw first, they have something to say, and the writing comes so much easier. These art and writing activities mix drawing, crafts and writing prompts for every season.

Questions teachers and parents ask me
Why combine art and writing?
Drawing helps kids plan their ideas, and having a picture to describe makes it easier for them to get words on the page.
What grades are these for?
Each activity lists its grade range. Many are made for kindergarten to grade 3, and some go up to upper elementary.
Can I use these as early finisher work?
Yes. Write and draw pages are easy to keep in a folder for fast finishers, centers or a quiet morning activity.
Are these good for homeschool?
Yes. They cover art and literacy in one activity, which makes them handy for homeschool days.
