★★★★★The students were able to create art and add their designs to their assignment. It has been difficult teaching art during Distance Learning. This resource was very helpful.

This Elements of Art Booklet is a structured, low-prep way to teach the 7 Elements of Art: color, value, line, shape, form, space and texture. Each element has a student-friendly introduction, a step-by-step art tutorial and a page where students create their own artwork.
It is designed for grades 3 to 8, with scaffolded projects that support independent thinking and artistic growth. Print and digital formats are included, so it works in the classroom, from an art cart, for distance learning or at home, at the start of the year or as a mid-year refresher.
WHAT'S INCLUDED (NON-EDITABLE PDF, POWERPOINT AND GOOGLE SLIDES)
- PDF Booklet to print as a student workbook
- PowerPoint Presentation with visuals for each element
- Google Slides Version for digital learning, distance education or homeschool
- Lessons for all 7 Elements of Art: color, value, line, shape, form, space and texture
- For each element: a Visual Introduction Page with definitions and real-life examples, a Step-by-Step Art Tutorial, and a Student Art Page to create on directly or upload artwork digitally
HOW TO USE IT
Print the PDF as a complete student workbook or use pages individually for interactive notebooks, portfolios, bulletin boards, back-to-school lessons or a full Elements of Art unit. Keep a copy in your sub binder or art cart, since a non-specialist substitute can teach it from the clear instructions.
Share the PowerPoint or Google Slides for at-home, virtual or hybrid lessons. Students can type into the text boxes or upload photos of their artwork, and it works in Google Classroom or Microsoft Teams.
FAQ
What grade levels is this best for?
Grades 3 to 8, depending on student ability. Beginners get enough guidance, and older students have room to explore further.
Can students complete it with basic supplies?
Yes. Students can use pencils, crayons, markers, colored pencils, paint or watercolor, whatever you have available.
What if I don’t have a printer or tech?
Students can complete the projects on any blank paper, using the instructions as a reference.
Is it editable?
No. The PDF, PowerPoint and Google Slides files are non-editable and ready to use as they are.
