How-To Draw a Red Fox Artwork that Explores the Element of Art: Shape
Let’s create a Red Fox! Art Lessons for learning art at home or distance learning with paper and your choice of medium! Create a cute Art Project that explores the Element of Art: Shape and other curricular content with this art tutorial for kids that makes learning in the classroom, e-learning, or homeschooling art easy to do. Use whatever mediums or materials that you have and follow along with this tutorial and learn how to apply the element of art, shape! This is a quick and easy, hands-on drawing and art tutorial that you can do with kids at home or in the classroom. Scroll to the bottom if you would like to watch the video instead!
Use a black marker to draw the top of your fox’s face and the snout.
Draw the rest of the fox’s face including the details on the snout, the fur around the center of the face, and it’s eyes. Draw two ears in the shape of curved triangles.
Draw your fox’s head, body, and tail with zigzag lines.

Draw the fox’s chest hair with big, wavy, zigzag lines.
On one side of the background, draw a variety of geometric shapes such as triangles, circles, squares, diamonds, and trapezoids.
On the other side of the background, draw a variety of organic shapes such as swirls and blobs.
Use your favorite art medium to color the red fox with a deep orange color.
Color the background with cool colors such as purple, blue, and green.
Shade and highlight your fox using black and white pencil crayon or wax crayon.
You’re now done!
Once your done adding highlights and shadows, your artwork is complete. Sign your name and display it! Put it in a frame and place it in your home or classroom for fox themed artwork that explores the Element of Art: Shape.
