How to Earn FREE TpT Resources and Lesson Plans: A Teacher’s Guide to Maximizing Your Savings

Let’s talk about something magical for a moment, getting FREE TpT Resources or Lesson Plans. Picture this: you’re scrolling through TpT, you spot the perfect art lesson or resource for your classroom, and then—BOOM—you realize you have enough TpT credits sitting in your account to get it for FREE. Or maybe you can snag it during a sitewide sale and those credits bring your total down so low it feels like you’re winning the TpT jackpot.

Sound dreamy? Well, it’s 100% possible… and I’m going to show you exactly how.

I’ve been on TpT for years now—both as a teacher searching for sanity-saving resources and as a creator pouring my heart into lessons for all of you. One thing I know for sure? Those little TpT credits add up fast when you leave feedback on your purchases. And since we have another big Back-to-School Sitewide Sale coming up (hint: it’s usually in August), now is the BEST time to stockpile your credits so you can save even more or grab free resources when the sale hits.

So let’s grab your coffee, cozy up, and I’ll walk you through everything you need to know to start earning TpT credits, step by step.

🌟 Why Should You Leave Feedback on TpT?

Okay, let’s start with the big WHY. When you leave feedback (aka a review) on any resource you’ve purchased, TpT rewards you with credits. For every $1 you’ve spent, you earn 1 TpT credit after leaving a review. These credits are like teacher gold—they sit in your account until you’re ready to use them at checkout, and they directly reduce your total cost.

Think of it like earning cashback… but for lesson plans, art projects, and classroom magic.

Plus, when you leave feedback on Ms Artastic resources (like my art lessons, sketchbook prompts, or challenge cards), it helps me too. Your kind words and reviews mean the world to me because they help other teachers feel confident that my resources will work for their classrooms. I work so hard to earn those ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ and your support keeps this little art teacher’s heart full.

So really—it’s a win-win. You save money. I get feedback that helps me grow and make even better lessons.

🖌️ Step-by-Step: How to Leave Feedback and Earn TpT Credits

Now let’s get practical. Here’s how to find your past purchases and leave reviews so you can start earning those credits:

Step 1: Log into TpT and Go to “My Purchases”

Head over to TpT and log in. Once you’re logged in, click on your profile icon at the top right corner. From the drop-down menu, select “My Purchases”.

📸 (See image above – I’ve added a big red arrow to show where “My Purchases” is hiding.)

This will take you to a page with every resource you’ve ever bought, organized beautifully for easy browsing.

Step 2: Find Your Ms Artastic Resources (or Any Resource You’ve Bought!)

Scroll through your list and look for any of your Ms Artastic resources (like my Elements of Art Lessons, Sketchbook Prompts, Art Challenge Cards, or Write and Draw packs).

If you’ve grabbed anything from me during Toonie Tuesdays or a previous sale, you’ll see them here waiting for you to review.

✨ Pro Tip: Leaving feedback now means you’ll have your credits ready before the upcoming Back-to-School Sale (because we never really know the exact date it’ll drop, but it’s usually in August!)

Step 3: Click “Leave a Review”

Next to each resource, you’ll see a “Leave a Review” button. Click it!

📸 (Look at the second image above—see how easy that is?)

Now all you have to do is leave your honest thoughts about how the resource worked for you. What did you and your students love? Did it save you time? Were they engaged and asking for “just one more”? Sharing these details helps other teachers know how the resource works in real classrooms.

Step 4: Rate and Write Your Review

You’ll see a screen with five blue stars—this is where you give your rating. I always work hard to earn those 5 stars, but please be honest about your experience.

In the box below, write a few sentences about how the resource helped your classroom. Did it keep fast finishers busy? Were your kids obsessed with the Elements of Art handouts? Did the sketchbook prompts get even your most reluctant artists drawing? Share your story!

📸 (See image three for what this screen looks like.)

Step 5: Submit and Watch Your Credits Grow

Once you submit your review, TpT automatically adds your credits to your account. You don’t have to do anything else—they’re ready to use whenever you check out next.

💰 How to Use Your TpT Credits at Checkout

When you’re ready to shop again (especially during a big sale like Back-to-School), TpT will ask if you want to apply your credits at checkout. Just click yes and watch your total drop!

This is the BEST way to stack your savings:
✅ Use your TpT credits
✅ Shop during a Sitewide Sale (up to 25% off with promo code!)
✅ Result = Huge savings or even FREE resources

So don’t wait. Leave your reviews now so your credits are ready for your future shopping sprees.

🎨 Why This Matters for Ms Artastic Fans

If you’ve grabbed my Elements of Art Bundle, Principles of Design resources, Sketchbook Prompts, or Art Challenge Cards recently—this is your reminder to go leave your feedback now. Not only will you earn credits, but your review helps other educators discover my resources too.

Here’s my TpT store link to make it even easier:

💡 Pro Tip: Review Before the Back-to-School Sale

We don’t know the exact dates of the next big sale (TpT keeps it top secret until a week or so before), but it’s almost always in early August. If you review now, you’ll have your credits sitting there, waiting to stretch your budget even further when the sale hits.

Can you imagine starting the school year with a pile of new art lessons and barely spending a dime? That’s what TpT credits + a sitewide sale can do.

🌈 One More Thing—Thank You

Friend, I can’t thank you enough for supporting my little art business. Every single review means the world to me. I read each one, and it fills my heart to know my resources are helping you and your students create, grow, and find joy in art.

So go ahead—take a few minutes to leave those reviews, collect your TpT credits, and get ready to treat yourself during the next sale. Your future self (and your wallet) will thank you.
