Exploring the Elements of Art with Kids at Home
Explore creating art focused on the Elements of Art in an At Home Learning setting, perfect for Homeschooling or Distance Learning. The artist’s world is limitless. It can be found anywhere, far from where he lives or a few feet away. It is always on his doorstep.

Line Art with Skewers or Tooth Picks
Use skewers or tooth picks or other toys or materials around the house (like K’nex or Zip Ties) to layer and turn into line art. The way you layer can have different effects so play around the with mediums and try different things. Can you make your composition look happy? Whimsical? Angry? Can you turn it into a bird? A nest? A tree? Have kids take a picture with a device for an ever-lasting work of art that explores the element of art: line.

Food Color, Color Mixing Painting
Use your food coloring in your cupboard to make watercolor paints! Watch my video where I teach kids how to make their own Primary Color, watercolor paints with food coloring, then they learn to mix the primaries into Secondary Colors. This is a perfect, at-home Element of Art: Color lesson! Home Schooling and Distance Learning will be a breeze when you use what art mediums you have around you.
I love painting with Bamboo paint brushes. This is a great set to use if you need versatile paint brushes for your home.

Texture Photography Scavenger Hunt
